Calf Reduction Using Botox Injections
This is one of the simplest methods of calf reduction, but it is also one of the most time consuming. This approach can temporarily reduce the prominence of the Gastrocnemius muscle–the muscle most prominent in one’s thigh–by injecting Botox into the muscle directly; noticeable results occur after about a week, as the motor nerves to the muscle become blocked by the injection. Patients must repeat this calf reduction process every four to six months in order for the effect to truly take hold, though. This procedure is simple and non-invasive, and it leaves no scar and requires little to no recovery period.
